Austin
- Visit the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library & Museum, a must see in Austin. Historical exhibits and memorabilia of the former President and his wife. Free admission and free parking. 2313 Red River Street. 512-721-0200
Dallas
- Dealey Plaza Historic District, the site of John F. Kennedy's assassination, now a National Historic Landmark. Visit the Sixth Floor Museum at 411 Elm Street to examine the life and death of President Kennedy.
- Approximately 40 minutes north of Dallas, you'll find the fictional Ewing home, Southfork Ranch, America's most famous ranch, based on the TV series "Dallas".

Houston
- Visit the San Jacinto Battlefield, located on the outskirts of Houston, where the battle that paved the way for Texas statehood was fought.
Port Isabel
- Point (Port) Isabel Lighthouse, located in one of the oldest towns in Texas, served mariners throughout the Civil War and into the 1900's. Located off Highway 100.
San Antonio
- The Alamo, the site of one of the most famous battles in history with an estimated 2.5 million visitors each year. Located at 300 Alamo Plaza.
- The San Antonio Missions, preserved over the years and open to the public. Now, a part of the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park.
