Lake Mead - largest man-made lake located approximately 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, hiking and biking. With over 550 miles of shoreline, an impressive scenic drive would be along the North Shore Road to Overton Beach through the desert.

The Las Vegas Springs Preserve, only a few miles west of downtown Las Vegas, offers quite a change from the excitement of the Strip.
