Sunrise Ski Park, the largest ski area in Arizona, about 4 hours northeast of Phoenix, welcomes you with over 65 runs, and 13 miles of groomed trails, a separate Snowboard Park with a snow halfpipe, rails, and jump, a special "ski-wee" area for kids, sleigh rides, and snow tubing.
A new Olympic sport, ski cross (also known as skier cross or skier X) , will be featured at Sugar Bowl in the Lake Tahoe-Truckee area. Skiing is always fun at beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho. Bald Mountain, and for beginners, Dollar Mountain, are two great choices. Bald Mountain is launching its first gondola this season 2,000 vertical feet up the mountain.
